i really like this ! didn't play too much though as i had died at one area and my checkpoint had spawned me back into the floor instead of on top of it. pretty fun little game though !

edit: im completely unsure how to continue replies to comments as i'm still new to the site, but i was unable to jump out from where i was under the ground, but the characters head was still visible. there was basically no way of getting free. definitely sounds like a good idea though to have that mana system though! :]

Did you spawn inside / under floor or what do you mean by spawning into the floor?

Checkpoint system is kinda buggy still, it works best on flat ground and if the checkpoint falls through floor it's not working correctly. I certainly have to fix it for next iteration (I was thinking some mana system so you couldn't spam checkpoint all the time).

EDIT: I managed to replicate problem, I'll look into it later.
EDITEDIT: I think I managed to fix the problem.
